As we enter into another year here at IBEC Ventures, I think back to last year with gratitude and a sense of awe regarding the way God continues to bless our ministry. Once again, we’ve seen Kingdom businesses all over the world impact their local communities with job creation and economic growth. In the process, disciples have been made and God is being glorified!
On a personal note, I’ve never operated a business overseas. I’ve worked with a number of practitioners, and I see how difficult it is to operate in many of the countries we target with our ministry. Needless to say, these individuals are my heroes. Obstacles are constantly in their path; however, these amazing men and women push forward with a relentless passion to build excellent businesses for Christ. If you’re reading this blog today and you’re unclear as to how you can get involved and help, let me share my personal story with you. I am not a practitioner, but God has allowed me to use my gifts for Him. What a privilege this has been, one I certainly don’t take for granted. I have a feeling many of you will relate to what I am saying…
I spent nearly 30 years in a very secular industry – life sciences. I was a Christian, but never knew what it meant to serve Christ. One could say I was a Sunday Christian…simply showing up at church one hour a week to recharge the batteries and get ready for another 50-60 work week. Then…I had the opportunity to join IBEC Ventures and use my gifts for the Kingdom. When I was first approached regarding the position of Managing Director, I thought they had the wrong guy. I wasn’t a pastor or a missionary. However, I was a businessperson who loved Jesus, people, and business…and I knew I was meant for the BAM World. Quite honestly, I had no idea that serving Christ through business even existed. I have no doubt in my mind that there are many of you out there today who feel the same way.
If you’re reading this today and you answer “yes” to any of the following questions, you too may be ready for a change, a life-changing pivot that will positively impact your world forever. You may be ready to get on board as an IBEC Ventures Coach.
- Do you feel like you’re on the sidelines and you want to get in the game, but the onramp is unclear?

In 2025, we all have an incredible opportunity to build God’s Kingdom in a couple of ways…by encouraging fellow Believers to keep pushing forward and by attracting non-believers to the Kingdom through our words and actions.
